This purpose was recognised at the APSCo Awards for Excellence 2025, where Calleo was named Winner in the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) category and Finalist for Candidate Experience.

Leading ESG Initiatives Through Calleo IndigenousList Item 2
Our win in the ESG category highlights the success of the Calleo Indigenous Community Fund (CICF), developed in partnership with Calleo Indigenous, as part of the Calleo Group. The CICF was founded to enhance employment, education and career development opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, with a focus on grassroots programs that drive sustainable change.
Calleo fully funds all operational costs of the CICF, ensuring 100% of contributions go directly to community initiatives. Since 2019, the fund has awarded over $1.8 million in grants, with a further $2.7 million committed through to 2028.
Recent milestones included expanding our university scholarship program for Indigenous students with a new alumni and intern network that fosters community, mentorship and transition into employment. Through partnership with Kinetic IT, we successfully helped five First Nations individuals into roles across several government departments, providing security clearance and role-specific training, with more placements on the way.
With ESG a rising focus for Government, we believe that doing good and doing business go hand-in-hand and this approach continues to shape Calleo’s commitment to social responsibility and workforce diversity.

Calleo was also proud to be a Finalist for Candidate Experience, recognising our people-first approach in candidate care. By investing in innovative technology and wellbeing initiatives, we ensure our candidates feel supported, valued, and connected throughout their career journey.
With an improved Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 84 enhanced wellbeing support through Leapwell+, and personal face-to-face touchpoints such as onboarding sessions, check-ins, and Calleo Community events, we continue to raise the standard for candidate care in the government people solutions sector.
