This position plays a pivotal role in leading complex investigations, supporting secure ICT architecture, and driving uplift across enterprise‑level cyber environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct forensically sound security investigations in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform in‑depth assessments following security incidents or at the direction of senior leadership.
- Analyse and explain threat profiles across a range of digital devices and environments.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on improving ICT security posture and mitigating risk.
- Interpret and comply with internal and whole‑of‑government digital security and privacy policy.
- Review and evaluate security controls and identify existing or potential vulnerabilities.
- Apply appropriate system design methodologies (predictive or adaptive) to support secure ICT outcomes.
- Design, test, verify, document, and refine scripts or complex programs as required.
- Demonstrated experience undertaking threat intelligence, modelling, or threat assessment tasks.
- Strong experience in penetration testing and vulnerability analysis, including assessment of defensive effectiveness.
- Experience producing executive or business‑level reports on threat assessment and mitigation.
- CREST certification (Registered Penetration Tester or Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst) is desirable.
- AGSVA NV2 clearance required (or higher).
- 12 month contract + 2x 12-month extension options
- Work on a high‑priority federal program within a secure national agency
- Onsite only in Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane
