Based in the Tullamarine area, this critical leadership position will be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of comprehensive training programs enabling workforce transition to new operational systems and processes. You’ll work closely with senior operational, technical, and program stakeholders to ensure training outcomes align with organisational readiness and program milestones.
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong governance experience, outstanding communication skills, and a proven ability to lead training delivery in highly regulated or safety‑critical sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of large‑scale training initiatives supporting workforce transition to new operational systems
- Own and maintain the training delivery plan, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and progress reporting
- Influence and partner with senior leaders to ensure training aligns with operational needs and program timelines
- Oversee the development and deployment of high‑quality training materials aligned with regulatory and organisational standards
- Conduct readiness assessments, training effectiveness reviews, and drive continuous improvement
- Provide executive‑level reporting on training performance, risks, and workforce readiness
- Manage and mentor training specialists, instructional designers, and SMEs across the program
- Ensure compliance with relevant training and regulatory requirements
- Extensive experience delivering training in large‑scale, high‑risk, or safety‑critical environments
- Proven success supporting complex transformation or system‑change programs
- Strong understanding of aviation, defence, or regulated industry training frameworks (highly desirable)
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing capability at the executive level
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight timeframes
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and vendor/partner relationships
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Experinece working in Aviation, Defence or similar safety critical industry
- AGSVA Baseline (or higher) Security Clearance
- Tertiary qualifications in Aviation, Education, Training, Management or a related field
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- OJTI or ATSWpA qualifications
- Work at scale across a workforce of 700+ operational staff.
