About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Technical Delivery Manager to drive the operational engine room for a major digital transformation program. This is not a standard administrative project management role – we need a delivery lead with strong technical fluency who can navigate architectural complexities and ensure strategic objectives are translated into delivered value.
You will orchestrate the delivery of technical designs, governance frameworks, and strategic roadmaps, acting as the bridge between technical teams and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage integrated delivery plans across key programs, aligning technical roadmaps, cloud design, and governance initiatives.
- Translate complex architectural objectives into actionable work packages for architects and strategists.
- Maintain a single source of truth for workload and resource allocation across BAU and strategic projects.
- Communicate technical risks and dependencies in clear business language to executives.
- Produce high-quality status reports, executive briefs, and board papers reflecting technical progress.
- Strong ICT background with knowledge of cloud architectures (e.g., Azure), data platforms, and software development lifecycles.
- Proven experience delivering complex technical programs using Agile, Prince2, or hybrid methodologies in government or enterprise settings.
- Ability to consolidate updates from diverse technical streams into cohesive executive-level reporting.
- Track record of unblocking technical teams and managing cross-team dependencies.
- Understanding of Whole-of-Government digital frameworks and ICT budgeting processes (highly desirable).
- Contract until June 2026 + 2x 12-month extensions
- Ability to obtain AGSVA Baseline clearance (Australian Citizen)
- Hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days a week in the office
Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only.
Candidates who currently have Baseline Clearance Security Clearances are highly desirable.
