The Role

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain SAS-based data solutions, working with large and complex datasets to deliver high-quality analytical and reporting outputs. You’ll also provide technical leadership, optimise code for efficiency, and contribute to continuous improvement in data analytics and reporting processes for a large Federal Government client.

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be Australian Citizens with active Federal Government clearances to be found suitable. 


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and maintain SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and subject matter experts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Optimise SAS code for performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure data solutions adhere to governance, privacy, and security standards.
  • Produce clear and concise documentation for code, processes, and workflows.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data analytics and reporting.

  • Proficiency in SAS programming, software development, and integration.
  • Strong skills in data manipulation, analysis, and reporting for large, complex datasets.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data solutions using best-practice methods, tools, and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
