About the role
A federal government agency is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Software Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Canberra, with potential extensions totalling up to 24 months. Working within a small, collaborative ICT team, you will provide development and technical support across SAP ERP and SRM environments, contributing to the ongoing modernisation of foundational technology platforms. The role is primarily onsite, with flexible arrangements considered at the agency's discretion.
Duties
- Deliver SAP ABAP and WebDynpro development
- Maintain and support SAP ERP and SRM systems day-to-day
- Diagnose, analyse and resolve reported system faults
- Design, configure, test and implement ABAP programs and methods
- Mentor team members and contribute to code reviews
- Extensive SAP ABAP development experience at senior level
- Proficiency in ABAP OO, WebDynpro, Fiori, UI5 and Smartforms
- Experience with ALE, IDOCs, REST Web Services and SAP Gateway
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field
- Must be able to obtain NV1 security clearance
- 12-month contract, potential for up to 24 months in extensions
- EL1-equivalent seniority recognised
