Client
One of our federal government clients are looking for an experienced Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team.
Role
Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with business users and system engineers to improve, optimise, and support analytics-based business solutions.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and technical issues across supported platforms and services.
- Engage proactively with business stakeholders and IT teams to share expertise, support solution adoption, and contribute to the organisation's knowledge base.
- Participate in platform configuration, planning, governance, and ongoing management activities.
- Identify, assess, and communicate design, development, testing, quality, dependency, and delivery risks, assumptions, and issues to management.
- Develop and maintain system architecture, solution design documentation, implementation guides, operational procedures, and relevant policies.
- Perform technical assessment, solution design, configuration, implementation, and deployment of new capabilities within the data platform environment.
- Ensure adherence to organisational ICT policies, security standards, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks.
- Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and skills development support to team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
Technical skills candidates would need to have (including but not limited to) are listed below:
- Enterprise service and virtualisation engineering
- Cloud and Hybrid infrastructure engineering
- Infrastructure automation and IaC
- Storage, backup and disaster recovery engineering
- Platform security and infrastructure hardening
