About the Role
A Senior Network Engineer with at least 10 years’ experience. Specialising in providing level 3 Network administration and support across a complex environment spanning Firewalls, Traffic Management, LAN, WLAN, WAN and Cloud (Zscalar, AWS, Azure). 

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership to manage updates and improvements to Network Infrastructure, standards, guidelines, procedures, documentation, diagrams.
  • Competencies in fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and taking effective and timely remedial action where required.
  • A strong commitment to ensure strict compliance to security policies and procedures.
  • Manage and oversee the life cycle of the ITG IMS queues to ensure appropriate resolution and closure of tickets assigned.
  • Commitment to the Major Incident Process, being able to lead incident response to conclusion, and ensuring that senior staff and the incident manager are kept informed.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, drive change, resolve problems, and assist in project planning driving successful outcomes.
  • Show accountability and commitment, achieve stated goals and objectives, take ownership and honour commitments.

Technical Skills
  • Network Ownership, Governance & Continuous Improvement.
Demonstrated ability to take end‑to‑end ownership of enterprise network environments, including the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of network standards, policies, procedures and technical documentation. Proven experience ensuring network services remain reliable, secure and fit‑for‑purpose through proactive lifecycle management, governance, and adherence to organisational and security requirements. Ability to identify improvement opportunities and drive measurable uplift in network maturity, resilience and operational effectiveness.
  • Network Enterprise Design & Operation.
Extensive experience designing, implementing and operating complex enterprise network architectures across LAN, WLAN, WAN, data centre and SDN environments. Proven capability to provide senior level (Level 3) operational support, including troubleshooting complex issues, optimising performance, and ensuring high availability. Demonstrated understanding of scalable, resilient and supportable network design principles aligned to business needs and modern ICT environments.
  • Firewalls, Risk & Fault Diagnosis.
Strong expertise in network security technologies, particularly firewall platforms and traffic management solutions, with a demonstrated ability to identify, assess and mitigate network risks. Proven skills in advanced fault diagnosis and root cause analysis, including responding to critical incidents, implementing effective remediation, and preventing recurrence.
  • Cloud Networking & Secure Hybrid Architecture.
Demonstrated experience designing and supporting secure hybrid network architectures that integrate on‑premises infrastructure with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Proven understanding of cloud networking constructs, connectivity models, and security controls, including secure access technologies and cloud‑based security services. Ability to ensure cloud network solutions are resilient, scalable, and aligned with enterprise security and architectural standards.

Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to  Australian Citizens only  and have a Baseline security clearance.
