This role suits a Senior Developer who enjoys working across business rules, application development, and reporting, and who thrives in governance‑driven environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance and maintain enterprise applications and reporting solutions using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM), .NET technologies, and Power BI
- Develop, test, deploy, and manage business rules within IBM ODM to support decision automation and regulatory outcomes
- Build secure, scalable application components using C#, ASP.NET, and Web APIs
- Design and maintain high‑quality Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards
- Optimise system performance, security, availability, and scalability
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, defect resolution, and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, testers, and stakeholders across the full SDLC
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Provide technical advice, mentoring, and knowledge transfer within the team
- Investigate and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis
- Produce and maintain technical and operational documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technology uplift initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years’ experience designing and delivering enterprise applications and/or reporting solutions
- Demonstrated experience with IBM ODM, .NET (C#, ASP.NET, Web APIs), and/or Power BI
- Strong experience working in governance‑driven ICT environments, including change management and security compliance
- Proven problem‑solving and analytical skills
- Hands‑on experience working within Agile / Scrum delivery frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage non‑technical stakeholders
- Delivery across multiple technologies (IBM ODM, .NET, Power BI)
- Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD and DevOps toolchains
- Solutions hosted in Microsoft Azure
- Experience with SQL Server or similar relational databases
- Reporting, analytics, data modelling, and performance optimisation
- 12 month contract + 2x 12month extension options
- Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days per week in the office
- Can be based in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney

- Opportunity to obtain an AGSVA Baseline clearance
