One of our key long standing Federal Government Clients are seeking a talented Devops Engineer to support one of their critical programs. You’ll play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining secure DevOps tooling to support software development and deployment across enterprise environments.
You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, applying your technical expertise to ensure the delivery of critical systems, including High-Performance Computing and cloud platforms.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring technical expertise, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset. Your ability to solve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions will underpin your success in this dynamic environment.
Your day to day role
- Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps tools and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure robust integration across diverse environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine systems, standards, and processes.
- Champion ITIL Service Management principles, including incident, problem, and change management.
- Develop and deliver educational materials to promote modern DevSecOps practices.
Candidates with the following Skills and Experiences are encouraged to apply:
- Expertise in Linux systems, web services, APIs, Python, and BASH scripting.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including YAML and tools like GitLab-CI.
- Practical experience in software architecture, automated testing, deployment, and collaborative software development practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and on-premises environments.
- Experience aligning with ITIL frameworks and governance processes in mission-critical environments.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
