About the role
The Safety Specialist will ensure proposed solutions consider safety and operational assurance implications (especially where integration touches mission critical operations), and support development of safety case inputs consistent with OneSKY reliability/maintainability/availability expectations.
Duties
- Participate in option assessment and gate reviews to ensure safety risks are visible and mitigation's are feasible.
- Work with PM/Tech Lead to embed safety deliverables into plans and procurement's.
- Work with vendors to ensure RMA considerations are reflected in designs.
Skills & experience
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Experience with Safety engineering / safety assurance in aviation (e.g. CASR 171, 172, 175), critical infrastructure, or mission critical environments.
