About the role
The Research and Evaluation Specialist delivers research, evaluation and evidence-based insights to support the Agency’s strategic priorities. Using qualitative and quantitative research methods, the role assesses the effectiveness and impact of programs, products and services, translates findings into practical recommendations, and works with stakeholders to support informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and better organisational outcomes.
Duties
- Lead and deliver research, evaluation and analysis projects aligned with Agency priorities.
- Design and implement qualitative, quantitative and mixed-method research activities.
- Analyse and interpret data to generate evidence-based insights and recommendations.
- Develop evaluation frameworks, performance measures and monitoring approaches.
- Prepare clear reports, briefings and presentations for a range of stakeholders.
- Provide advice on research and evaluation practices while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & experience
- Research and evaluation experience across qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Strong analytical skills and evidence-based decision-making.
- Experience developing evaluation frameworks and research methods.
- Excellent report writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration abilities.
- Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results independently.
Desirable
- Experience in health, public policy, evaluation or research
- Relevant qualifications in research, evaluation, public health, statistics or a related field.
To be considered for this role, you must hold an NV1 clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
