Exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a major Federal Government technology transformation program.

This opportunities will see you leading the delivery of a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives spanning enterprise applications, digital platforms, data and integration services, infrastructure, and specialist technology projects. Depending on your experience and capability, you may lead individual projects, multiple workstreams, or broader program activities.

About the Role As a Project Manager, you'll play a critical role in driving successful delivery outcomes within a complex and fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with business and technology stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the delivery of technology projects, workstreams, and program activities
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, including planning, delivery, transition, and review
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, plans, and governance documentation
  • Manage scope, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and project quality
  • Coordinate internal resources, vendors, and external service providers to achieve project objectives
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and day-to-day direction to project team members where required
  • Consolidate and report project and program status to senior stakeholders and governance forums
  • Support strategic planning, prioritisation, and resource management activities
  • Foster effective stakeholder engagement and communication across business and technical teams
Key Skills and Experinece Required:
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex IT projects within large organisational environments
  • Strong project management expertise covering scope, schedule, financials, risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and external service providers
  • Certification in a recognised project management methodology
  • Experience using project delivery tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms
  • PRINCE2, ITIL, or similar certifications
  • Experience managing multiple projects or program workstreams simultaneously
  • Experience leading delivery teams within matrix organisations
  • Exposure to executive reporting and governance forums
  • Experience working within large, regulated environments
  • Proficiency with Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, GitLab, and collaboration platforms
