This role offers the opportunity to work within an Agile delivery environment, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, designers, and delivery teams to maximise product value and drive meaningful outcomes.
As the Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining product priorities, managing the backlog, and ensuring the delivery of solutions that balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. You will act as the key link between stakeholders and delivery teams, helping to shape product strategy and roadmap outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Define and communicate product vision, priorities, and roadmap objectives
- Manage and prioritise the Scrum team's backlog to maximise value delivery
- Collaborate with business, design, architecture, and delivery teams to develop practical and customer-focused solutions
- Drive stakeholder engagement and gather continuous feedback to refine product direction and outcomes
- Assess solution options, articulate impacts, effort, and trade-offs, and support informed decision-making
- Lead discussions during planning events and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement
- Support product enhancement initiatives that improve customer experience and maximise return on investment
- 5+ years' experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role such as Business Analyst or Systems Analyst
- Strong experience working within Agile delivery environments and Scrum teams
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities while delivering customer and business value
- An understanding of the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
- Relevant Product Ownership, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certifications
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Dynamics 365
- Exposure to modern digital platforms, cloud solutions, or blockchain technologies
- AGSVA Baseline security clearance
- contract until 30 June 2027 with extension options available
