Procurement Business Analyst 

  • 6 month role with possible 3 month extension
  • Contribute to the procurement of a new Agency system 
  • Canberra based role

This well known Federal Government Agency is responsible for maintaining and creating agricultural export opportunities, to provide gains for Australian agriculture, fishing and forestry. 

About the role
This Business Analyst role supports a government procurement and digital transformation initiative by working with stakeholders to analyse and document business requirements, processes, data needs and system interactions. Key responsibilities include process mapping, requirements gathering and the development of business analysis artefacts that support digital design, prioritisation and implementation. The role helps identify opportunities to improve regulatory operations and supports the delivery of modern, efficient and effective government services.


Duties
  • Documenting current and future digital touchpoints across export regulatory workflows.
  • Identify and map data capture points across export workflows to support a “tell us once” approach enabling data reuse across systems
  • Identifying current and future digital touchpoints and system integration requirements.
  • Participate in procurement of a new system for the Agency 

Skills & experience
  • Proven experience in business analysis, including eliciting, documenting and managing business requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Experience mapping and analysing business processes to identify improvements and support future-state design.
  • Ability to produce high-quality business analysis documentation, including requirements, process maps and supporting artefacts.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the procurement, implementation or enhancement of government agency systems, including contributing to requirements definition, vendor engagement and evaluation activities.
