You will work as part of a collaborative delivery team, playing a key role in maintaining, enhancing and evolving software solutions used at national scale.
About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications using Delphi and Microsoft .NET technologies. A strong focus will be on modernising legacy systems, improving performance, and ensuring high‑quality, secure and scalable applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance and maintain applications using Delphi and .NET (C#/VB.NET)
- Refactor and migrate legacy Delphi applications to modern .NET architectures
- Build and support ASP.NET MVC / Web API solutions
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers and developers to deliver quality outcomes
- Optimise performance, troubleshoot issues and apply defect fixes
- Participate in code reviews and promote secure development best practices
- Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, InterBase or Firebird
- Maintain clean, well‑documented, testable code
- Proven experience as a .NET and Delphi Developer in enterprise environments
- Strong experience modernising or integrating legacy systems
- Solid understanding of software design, systems integration and testing practices
- Experience working within structured delivery frameworks and standards
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Experience working independently and as part of a delivery team
- NV1 clearance preferred, will consider applicants with Baseline security clearance
- 12-month contract + 2x 12-month extension options
- Opportunity to work on complex, nationally significant systems
- Hybrid flexibility (2-3 days in the office) with supportive delivery teams
- Exposure to both legacy and modern technologies
- Adelaide or Canberra preferred, open to Melbourne and Brisbane too

Candidates who currently have Baseline Clearance Security Clearances are highly desirable.
