- Designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs to enable secure, scalable data access.
- Integration with external APIs to ingest third-party data into enterprise systems.
- Managing API gateways, authentication, and access controls for secure data exchange.
- Ensuring APIs follow best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborating with software engineering teams to embed APIs into applications and workflows.
- Leading technical design discussions and proposing scalable architecture solutions.
- Establishing and enforcing best practices in data engineering, including coding standards, testing, and CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Partnering with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to align data engineering solutions with business goals.
Job Requirement
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (e.g. PySpark, Spark, Hadoop).
- Proven experience building and managing APIs (REST), including authentication (OAuth2, JWT) and API gateway management.
- Prior exposure to data security and compliance frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices for CI/CD in data pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
