About the role
The Lead Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the physical asset portfolio, ensuring assets are managed safely, reliably, cost effectively, and in alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
 
Duties
  • Lead and maintain the organisation’s asset management framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and manage long-term asset lifecycle and maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain accurate asset registers, CMMS data, and system integration with ERP platforms.
  • Monitor asset performance, condition, reliability, risks, and maintenance outcomes.
  • Deliver asset performance reporting and insights to operational and leadership stakeholders.
  • Manage asset budgets, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & experience
  • Demonstrated experience in asset management, lifecycle planning, and maintenance strategies within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS platforms (preferably Mainpac), asset data, and configuration management.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering (ISO 15288) and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
  • Experience in safety, risk management, and conducting risk assessments (ISO 31000, WHS regulations).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make risk-based, data-driven decisions and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills.
