We are seeking an experienced Information Architect to join a large-scale enterprise transformation program. This role will be responsible for designing and establishing information architecture frameworks, governance standards, metadata models, taxonomies, and classification structures that support business operations, digital services, and enterprise information management objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity to influence how information is structured, governed, and utilised across a complex organisation undergoing significant change.

About the Role:
As the Information Architect, you will work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, delivery teams, and governance forums to assess current information environments and design sustainable future-state information architectures.
You will play a key role in ensuring information assets are discoverable, accessible, reusable, governed, and aligned to broader business and technology strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops and information discovery sessions
  • Assess current-state information landscapes, repositories, and content structures
  • Analyse information flows, dependencies, and governance requirements
  • Develop enterprise information architecture frameworks and roadmaps
  • Design information models, taxonomies, metadata standards, and classification schemes
  • Establish information governance practices and information management standards
  • Define information structures that improve discoverability, accessibility, and reuse
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise, business, data, and solution architecture practices
  • Support governance activities, architecture reviews, and implementation planning
  • Prepare high-quality documentation, recommendations, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Work within Agile delivery environments and maintain work items in Azure DevOps
  • Provide knowledge transfer and support capability uplift across the organisation
About You
You are a seasoned information management professional who combines strong architecture expertise with outstanding stakeholder engagement skills. You are comfortable operating across both business and technology domains and can translate complex information management requirements into practical and sustainable architecture outcomes.

Essential Experience:
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise information architectures
  • Strong experience developing information models, taxonomies, metadata frameworks, and classification structures
  • Demonstrated success establishing information governance frameworks and standards
  • Experience assessing and transforming complex information environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to produce clear and high-quality architecture artefacts, standards, and recommendations
  • Experience aligning information architecture with enterprise, business, data, and solution architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of privacy, records management, information security, and regulatory compliance obligations
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Microsoft 365 information management and governance experience
  • SharePoint Online information architecture experience
  • Microsoft Purview or enterprise information governance platform experience
  • Government or other highly regulated industry experience
  • Knowledge of records management and information lifecycle management practices
  • Experience participating in enterprise governance and architecture forums
  • AGSVA Baseline (or higher) security clearance
