Our client is a statutory Government agency responsible for health related digital programs.
 
About the role
The Project Manager within the Research, Analytics and Data Branch will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of data driven initiatives, including data transformation, analytics and governance projects, while strengthening the branch’s prioritisation and planning capability by developing and embedding more streamlined project management processes.
 
Duties
  • Lead complex projects end to end, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s project management, assurance and governance frameworks.
  • Set priorities and standards for core project activities, including consultation, planning, scheduling, reporting and budgeting.
  • Monitor project progress, risks and emerging issues, taking responsibility for mitigation planning and alignment with Agency priorities.
  • Build team capability through coaching, feedback and effective management of human, financial and physical resources.
  • Exercise sound judgement and independence in decision making, using analysis to interpret complex requirements and determine appropriate actions.
  • Engage, negotiate and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes, manage expectations and resolve sensitive or contentious issues.
Skills & experience
  • Strong project management expertise with experience delivering complex work within governance and risk frameworks.
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage core project activities, resources and reporting.
  • Proven leadership skills, including coaching teams and driving high‑quality outcomes.
  • Sound judgement and analytical capability to interpret complex requirements and make independent decisions.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, including managing sensitive or contentious issues.
  • Experience working within digital health projects will be highly regarded as will tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience within a health disciple.
