About the role
Lead a small team delivering end‑to‑end HR services across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the Director, you’ll manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll, graduate program coordination and HR policy development. The role also supports MoG preparation and evolving organisational priorities.
 
Duties
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding and employee lifecycle tasks
  • Provide expert APS employment and policy advice
  • Review and improve HR processes and procedures
  • Finalise eRecruit setup and support Aurion implementation
  • Manage Graduate Program rotations, care and reporting
 
Skills & experience
  • Strong APS recruitment knowledge, incl. Gazette requirements
  • Experience managing HR operations in APS environments
  • Skill coordinating Graduate or entry‑level programs
  • Knowledge of payroll processes and HR systems
  • Ability to lead APS staff and build capability

To be eligible for this role candidates must hold, at a minimum, a Baseline security clearance or be able to gain one.
