Calleo is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced DevOps Engineer to:
- Assist the Infrastructure team of our Federal client Program.
- Design, implement and maintain the security of Azure cloud platform and services.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties, including senior stakeholders.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Implementing technical solutions in cloud to facilitate migration of applications.
- Designing infrastructure solutions to host applications currently on premise.
- Developing automated solutions to deploy infrastructure and applications to cloud.
- Working within DevOps practices of the wider program team.
- Inputting features and design of cloud foundations.
- Supporting Java applications running in a Linux environment.
- Automating processes and building self-service capabilities.
- Delivering and building services and technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Azure.
- Leading and coordinating cloud development activities between relevant stakeholders and technical resources - both internal and external.
- Leveraging experience with cloud native tools to review metrics and monitor the health/utilisation of agency’s cloud services.
- Designing, implementing and maintaining the security of Azure cloud platform and services.
- Implementing new security measures on the Azure cloud.
- Scripting and automating security processes using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
- Setting direction for use of Azure role-based access control (Azure RBAC), Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Administrator protection strategy and Azure policy to govern Azure resources.
- Managing vulnerability scanning tools to identify security risk in software code or platform.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience in utilising DevOps in complex data and analytics platforms - minimum 5 years
- Proven ability to facilitate business processes to enhance and deliver new capabilities, including system design, development, modelling, governance, and documentation - minimum 5 years
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and shell scripting as well as Azure DevOps
- Strong leadership skills, both managing and mentoring team members.
- Developing and maintaining IaC scripts and templates using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure Bicep.
