Join a respected Melbourne‑based client in the legal industry and play a hands‑on role supporting and enhancing the data, reporting, and core systems that underpin a busy legal practice with a strong commitment to justice and client service.
This is a technically focused, proactive role suited to someone who enjoys working deeply with data, systems, and applications, while also being confident engaging directly with the business. You will work closely with the Head of Data & Applications and be trusted to take ownership of tasks and outcomes while operating with a high degree of autonomy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform data analysis and data quality investigations to support business decision‑making.
- Develop and maintain operational, financial, and management reporting.
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including querying and basic SSIS/SSRS concepts.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and support CRM development and deployment.
- Assist with upgrades, configurations, and enhancements of the legal practice management system (Aderant).
- Liaise with managed service providers and external consultants to escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain clear documentation of systems, processes, and changes.
- Strong technical aptitude and genuine curiosity about how systems and data work end‑to‑end.
- Confident communicator comfortable engaging directly with the business and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage multiple issues concurrently.
- 3+ years experince in a data role.
