Job Details
One of our federal government clients is seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions that support the agency’s strategic objectives.
As a Cloud Engineer, you will work with the Senior (Lead) Cloud Engineer to provide technical leadership, deliver innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with government security and operational standards. You will work closely with stakeholders to enable cloud adoption and optimise infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
Key Duties
- Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or other platforms).
- Ensure compliance with Australian Government security frameworks (e.g., ISM, PSPF).
- Monitor and optimise cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical advice and mentorship to team members and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and provide strategic direction on cloud technology deployment
- Cloud engineering within complex environments.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and associated services.
- Networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
- Ability to work in an agile environment
- Automation and orchestration tools
- Problem-solving and ability to work under pressure.
- Communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to support and mentor staff in cloud technologies
