Great long term contract with a Federal Government client of ours seeking talented Infrastructure Engineers. You’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimising, and evolving enterprise infrastructure to ensure the delivery of reliable and secure digital services. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, you’ll help deliver technology migrations, system upgrades, and operational excellence that align with agency objectives. Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be Australian Citizens to be found suitable with Federal Government clearances to be found suitable.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing and optimising enterprise infrastructure platforms across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Leading legacy technology migrations and delivering system upgrades as part of a broader technology uplift.
- Supporting digital service operations, including incident management, request fulfilment, and problem resolution.
- Performing system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities to ensure operational resilience.
- Engaging with stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions with business needs.
- Contributing to technical documentation, including architecture, procedure manuals, and design artefacts.
- Monitoring system performance, tuning services, and diagnosing faults proactively.
- Supporting procurement, vendor engagement, and technology evaluation activities.
Candidates with the following skills and experiences are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in managing enterprise infrastructure across both cloud and on-prem environments.
- A solid understanding of ITIL, ISM, and PSPF frameworks.
- Expertise in managing Microsoft infrastructure (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) in hybrid environments, with the ability to implement solutions that align with agency objectives.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and manage risks under pressure to ensure continuity of critical services.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Capacity to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments.
