Role
The Automation Test Analyst supports the Scrum teams by delivering automation‑led and targeted manual testing across complex systems. The role focuses on building and maintaining Playwright‑based automated tests, integrating quality into CI/CD pipelines, identifying and managing defects and ensuring testing outcomes are traceable, repeatable and auditable in line with our clients quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers and Scrum teams to understand system behaviours and identify high‑value test scenarios for automation and manual testing.
  • Design, develop and maintain Playwright-based automated tests for UI, API and integration coverage.
  • Execute automated test suites across environments, analyse results and investigate failures to identify defects and quality risks.
  • Perform targeted manual exploratory and regression testing for new features, complex scenarios or gaps not yet covered by automation.
  • Integrate and maintain automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub.
  • Ensure testing activities are traceable, repeatable and auditable in line with our clients quality and regulatory standards.
  • Report, track and verify defects arising from both automated and manual testing, working closely with delivery teams on resolution.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives to uplift testing and automation maturity.
Required Skills 
  • Minimum five years’ demonstrated experience testing complex, large‑scale, integrated systems, with a strong focus on automation‑led quality practices.
  • Minimum five years’ experience working in Agile software delivery environments within multidisciplinary Scrum teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • High proficiency in Azure DevOps (or equivalent), including automated test planning, execution, results reporting, and defect lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience testing complex integrations, APIs, and data flows across interconnected enterprise platforms (e.g. CRM or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Playwright-based automation frameworks, including:
    • UI and API automation
    • Page Object Model (or equivalent patterns)
    • Reusable test utilities and fixtures
    • Data-driven, keyword driven and environment-aware test execution
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript or Typescript with solid understanding of test automation best practices.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, with experience integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows.
  • Experience in triaging automation failure on daily basis
  • Experience working with Git-based version control, including branching strategies and pull request practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret automated test results and identify quality risks early.
Desirable
  • A strong shift-left mindset, actively collaborating during refinement.
  • Experience building or contributing to automation standards, guardrails or coding guidelines within a team or organisation.
  • Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g. k6) and their role within an overall quality strategy.
  • Basic experience using collaborative tools such as Miro for story mapping, risk identification.

Australian Citizenship is mandatory. Candidates must holding a Baseline Security Clearance.
