About the role
You will lead the design and rollout of a new assurance framework, uplift grants management processes, and provide strategic advice on governance and risk. The role works closely with senior leaders, internal teams and external stakeholders to embed consistent, transparent assurance practices.
Duties
- Build and implement assurance framework, tools and guidance
- Advise on assurance maturity and control effectiveness
- Strengthen grants processes at award activity level
- Coordinate assurance reviews and audit planning
- Analyse data to identify trends, gaps and improvements
Skills & experience
- Experience in assurance, governance, audit and risk frameworks
- Knowledge of Commonwealth grants, PGPA and APS governance
- Strong analytical and judgement capability
- Ability to influence stakeholders and manage sensitive issues
- Clear, persuasive written communication in assurance contexts
