The organisation delivers national regulatory functions and plays a critical role in protecting public health through scientific evaluation and compliance oversight.

About the role

You will join a high‑performing team supporting procurement, contracts management and project delivery for external evaluators who assess prescription medicines and medical devices. The role works across multiple internal branches and leads initiatives to streamline evaluation processes and support regulatory decision‑making.

Duties
  • Supervise and support a small team to deliver external evaluation services
  • Coordinate procurement and contract activities for external evaluators
  • Maintain procedures, policies and operational documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve procurement or process issues
  • Lead section‑based projects supporting regulatory operations
Skills & experience
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth Procurement Rules and the PGPA Act
  • Strong project coordination and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
Desirable: Procurement qualification (e.g., Cert IV) or experience in therapeutic goods regulation
