About the role
The APS5 Graphic Designer will create high‑quality visual communication products across print and digital channels, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. The role involves designing publications, posters, newsletters, infographics and other materials, ensuring they meet accessibility, branding and production requirements. You’ll work closely with colleagues, clients and suppliers to deliver engaging, accurate and consistent design outcomes that support the department’s communication needs.
 
Duties
  • Develop creative concepts and produce high‑quality print and digital artwork
  • Translate information into clear, engaging and user‑centred visual communications
  • Manage production workflows to ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to specifications
  • Apply strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills to deliver professional design outputs
  • Maintain accessibility, brand consistency and departmental design standards
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and suppliers to deliver projects on time
 
Skills & experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing and producing print and digital communication materials, including publications and promotional assets
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and contemporary design techniques
  • Strong understanding of print production processes, artwork preparation and liaison with printers and suppliers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, high‑quality work within agreed timeframes
  • Applied knowledge of accessibility requirements and best‑practice design for print and digital products
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interpret needs and present design solutions clearly Mandatory
Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years industry experience in print publications.
