About the role
We are seeking an experienced Web Content Specialist with expertise in Drupal, WCAG compliance, and web content writing to manage and optimise the digital presence for a team within a large Federal Government Agency in Canberra. This role requires strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with internal and external partners, ensuring content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with accessibility standards.

 
Duties
  • Create, edit, and publish web content using Drupal.
  • Work closely with internal teams, subject matter experts, and external partners to gather, refine, and publish content that meets organisational goals.
  • Ensure all content meets WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards for accessibility.
  • Write and structure content to enhance search engine visibility and user engagement.
  • Identify content needs, source information from stakeholders, and develop a structured content plan that aligns with business objectives.
    Skills & experience
    • Proficiency in Drupal for content management and site updates.
    • Strong understanding of WCAG  accessibility standards and best practices.
    • Excellent web content writing skills.
    • Experience in stakeholder management,  including gathering content and coordinating feedback.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
