We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow System Engineer with expertise in but not limited to the HRSD module and ServiceNow Protected Platform (SPP), as well the Service Management modules.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for migrating to the platform (SPP) and providing expert system administration, design, implementation, configuration management, development, and maintenance support for end-users.
This role requires a proactive individual who can lead platform upgrades, maintain modules, troubleshooting issues and implement integrations while ensuring the security posture meets Essential 8 Maturity Level 2 compliance. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the platform meets business requirements and provides optimal performance. The role will support the operational environment with break fix and enhancements to current deployed services, while utilising the latest from ServiceNow in automation and continuous improvements to maximise efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Key duties and responsibilities
- System Administration: Provide expert administration of the ServiceNow platform, including design, development, build, and configuration of services.
- Design and Development: Create and customise ServiceNow applications and modules to meet business needs.
- Implementation: Deploy ServiceNow solutions, including workflows, integrations, and automation.
- Platform Upgrades and Maintenance: Manage ServiceNow platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Workflow Administration: Develop and administer workflows and catalogue items.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow applications and infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Reporting: Design reports and dashboards.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Training: Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders and knowledge sharing with team.
- ISM Security Compliance: Maintain the security posture of the platform at or above the level needed for Essential 8 Maturity Level 2 compliance.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support during critical outages or security incidents.
- ServiceNow Development: Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including JavaScript, Glide API, and Business Rules.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with ServiceNow in a development or engineering role
- Integration: Experience with integrating ServiceNow with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Configuration Management: Knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and ITIL processes.
- Performance Tuning: Ability to optimise ServiceNow performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Security: Understanding of ServiceNow security best practices and role-based access control and ISM security compliance.
- Database Management: Familiarity with SQL and database management within ServiceNow.
- Version Control: Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- HRSD Module: Experience with the Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) module, Automated Test Framework (ATF), including configuration and customisation.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, HRSD or other relevant certifications.
