Job Details
The federal government department is on the look out for an experienced and dynamic SAP Data Engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities
This role offers a motivated individual the chance to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building information models, BEx queries, and SAP Business Objects reports.
- Developing and maintaining integration plans for 'As Is' and 'To Be' process models.
- Developing and maintaining documentation to support Self-Service Business Intelligence development. Supporting the successful delivery of planning and consolidation solutions for the Parliamentary Expenses Management System (PEMS) project.
- Designing and interpreting reporting architecture for SAP BI while troubleshooting and resolving issues with functional analysts and end-users.
- Leading new development initiatives and providing ongoing support for the SDO’s Business Intelligence architecture.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following highly desirable skills and capabilities:
- Experience with earlier versions of SAP BW may be considered.
- Over 7.5 years of experience in SAP BW administration and development.
- Experience in BPC and SBP, with a strong understanding of finance and public sector budgeting and planning processes.
- Expertise in SAP BW 7.5 and Business Objects environments, including authorisations, management, and process chains for data loads.
- Proven experience in HANA Live real-time reporting and building HANA CDS views, DSOs, InfoCubes, and MultiProviders.
- Strong business-facing consulting skills with experience in stakeholder engagement. This must include significant experience working with end users and not just functional/technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience in both BAU and project environments. This must include the end-to-end process with management of a change through testing and change management controls. It may also sometimes include functional analysis and requirements gathering.
