Job Description
This Federal Government department supports and regulates what is considered a critical industry for everyday Australians.
Due to ongoing technological uplifts, there is an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master to join the dynamic team.
The Scrum Master designs and implements Agile operating models and strategies for newly formed projects and existing delivery areas while taking into account the current and historical context and delivery timeframes and targets. They develop and foster strong working relationships with internal, external and cross-agency partners and stakeholders.
Key duties
- Educate others in agile methodologies, techniques, processes and tools and provide coaching, leadership and training in line with agile methodologies
- Identify and analyse risks, issues, opportunities, develop and lead change strategies, and monitor outcomes to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Negotiate deliverables, support levels, and workflows to ensure effective delivery of business outcomes.
- Plan scrum implementation by understanding the scope of features, timeline and budget and work with team to estimate their capacity for Iterations and assign PBIs and tasks.
- Finalise Team PI Objectives, and manage the timebox, dependencies, and ambiguities during Team Breakout sessions. Run daily SCRUMS with the team.
- Responsible for Sprint planning, Sprint review, and Sprint retrospectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in SCRUM Master role
- Agile, SAFe and SM training
- Relevant Scrum Maser qualifications/certification/accreditation
Due to the nature of this role, this job is only open to Australian Citizens with minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
