We're urgently looking for a Project Controls Specialist
with a strong background in Export Controls, including US ITAR, to support a high-profile Defence capability program.
Key Details:
Start: ASAP
Contract Term: 6 months initial with extensions options
Level: PRMG6
Clearance: NV1 (mandatory)
Location: Canberra (on-site) or Melbourne (on-site)
Your Role:
You’ll be supporting a critical capability development program with responsibilities including:
- Managing project compliance with export controls (particularly US ITAR)
- Liaising with relevant government departments/agencies for GFX licensing
- Overseeing recordkeeping, risk, and issue management related to GFX/ITAR
- Supporting project staff and stakeholders with export compliance training/awareness
- Assisting in secure data management and compliance frameworks
- Providing SME-level advice on export control matters across the project lifecycle
You’ll Need:
- Formal qualifications in a relevant field (mandatory)
- NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience with US ITAR or other government export control regimes (highly desirable)
- Experience managing GFX/Export-controlled items in complex Defence or similar projects (desirable)
- This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a strategically vital Defence initiative in a specialist capacity.
Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens with minimum AGSVA NV1 clearance.
