Job description
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a multiple Payroll and Service Liaison Officers at the APS 4 team to help deliver a nationally consistent centralised advice and support to staff members relating to a broad range of human resource matters including:
- HR policies, guidelines and related support tools
- Pay and allowances
- General employment conditions
- Performance management
Key position responsibilities
- Deliver responsive accurate advice on HR policies, pay and allowances, employment conditions and performance management
- Process payroll transactions and maintain staff records in accordance with legislation enterprise agreements and audit requirements
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies including overpayments and complex queries
- Consult with staff and managers to resolve sensitive and multifaceted people related matters
Experience and skills
- Experienced in payroll processing and HR advisory services within a government or large-scale organisation
- Strong understanding of HR systems (e.g. SAP & Essentials), policies procedures or employment legislation
- High level customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially excel and database tools
Work location, hours and flexibility
- Roles will be in Brisbane CBD (QLD), with the possibility of Robina (QLD) or Burnie (TAS)
- Working hours will be negotiated between 7 am and 7 pm and based on supervision availability
- Working From Home arrangements will be considered after gaining proficiencies across core activities.
