We are currently seeking multiple Systems Solutions and Software Designer roles for a large Federal Government Agency in Canberra. 

• Contracts commencing January 2026 to December 2026 with ongoing extensions 
• Canberra based roles 
• WFH Flexibility 

• Produce detailed component specifications and then translate these designs for implementation.
• Apply Software development skills and Engineering principles to develop systems for deployable capability.
• Develop comprehensive unit test plans and support Design and Test evaluation
• Apply agile methodologies to design and develop a defensive cyber operations suite

• Conduct work in accordance with the engineering management systems
• Working with the Product Manager and key stakeholders, shape the direction of the system development
• Lead a technical team to coordinate the elicitation of requirements, design and development of systems through the Agency Capability Life Cycle and the AGILE system development framework
• Lead a technical team to design and integrate systems with nominated external systems
• Communicate complex technical and operational issues into readily understandable
  concepts
• Conduct Engineering Reviews of developed artefacts according to the project Engineering Management System and assigned Engineering Authority delegation

• Demonstrated strong experience with Linux OS automation and administration
• Experience with C#, JavaScript, and Python
• Proficient with React and CSS
• Experience integrating custom software with third party APIs
• Experience with container orchestration, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes
• Experience with Hypervisor platforms, VMWare, Hyper-V
