Role
Reporting to a Team Leader or Project Manager, the Business Analyst/D365 Functional Analyst will be responsible for working as part of a multidisciplinary team doing pre-delivery and delivery analysis work. You will be required to provide expertise in translating business requirements from technical and non-technical users into the design of appropriate solutions working within the ICT systems. You will work closely with Product Owners, Business Users, Service Designers, Solution Architects, Software Engineers and Solution Designers, Software Developers, Testers, as well as communications and change management staff.
Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, and meetings to gather input and feedback.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recommend solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, or improve user experience.
- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and testers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with business goals and technical feasibility.
- Produce high-quality documentation including business cases, user stories, use cases, process flows, and user manuals.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet business needs.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Microsoft D365 Functional Analyst
- Excellent ability to gather and document requirements, develop requirements models and write user stories.
- Experienced in facilitating workshops, leading stakeholder meetings and delivering training and system demonstrations
- Solid understanding of Agile framework and methodologies.
- A critical thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communicator – both written and verbal.
- Proactive, motivated and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex IT systems undertaking business analysis work, including producing business-focused documentation such as business processes, system use cases, functional specifications, user stories and process flows to assisting product owners/business SME to deliver effective IT systems with contemporary user experience.
- Experience working in an Agile software development team
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be Australian Citizens with active Federal Government Baseline clearance (NV1/NV2 Cleared Candidates are encouraged to apply)
