Job Summary

Join a Federal Government Digital team as an experienced System Engineer and play a key role in delivering a high-impact project. In this role, you will ensure systems are designed, implemented, and maintained to the highest standards. You will review technical documentation, identify and mitigate risks, and provide expert technical guidance to both agency teams and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Federal Government teams and service providers to ensure systems meet required standards.
  • Review and provide feedback on engineering and technical documentation.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in system designs.
  • Troubleshoot and reverse engineer systems to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Support system integration, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure and systems engineering.
  • Proven experience working in Federal Government or other secure environments.
  • Solid understanding of system design principles and technical governance.
  • Ability to reverse engineer and analyse complex systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to produce clear documentation.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of VMware, Dell hardware, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Experience with Federal Government projects and compliance standards.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a current NV2 security clearance.
