ILS Technical Writer

Calleo is seeking an ILS Technical Writer
to research, develop and provide publication- authoring services to the ILS Team within a high-performing Defence Program Office.
The professional writing skills will ensure all supporting ILS products will be delivered and sustained by the high-performing Defence Program Office.
The ILS Technical Writer shall produce and maintain technical documentation artefacts including ILS Plans and Work Instructions through to endorsement.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Plan, develop, organise, write and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals.
- Research, develop and write Technical Design Specifications.
- Research, develop and write Technical Manuals.
- Developing written or visual Product / Process / Technical documentation, Business Process Maps, and User Manuals.
- Quality Assurance of documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
- Write complex technical subject matter for a range of stakeholders, including non- technical or executive staff.
- Ability to develop and update Engineering and ILS documentation, including a range of Technical Management Strategies and Plans, Logistic Plans and Instructions.
- Manage updates and revisions to technical documents, procedures and manuals.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A qualified practitioner with relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant industry experience of more than 8 years.
- Certified SAFe® Practitioner (mandatory for all COSPO personnel - can be completed upon engagement).
- Demonstrated strong Technical Writing Skills.
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position.
- Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
- Australian Defence Force (ADF) experience is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only with AGSVA NV1 minimum.
