ICT Procurement Specialist
Our client is looking for an ICT Procurement Specialist who will be responsible for providing Procurement support for end-to-end procurement activities. The successful candidadte will be developing, executing, and managing procurement activities and managing the full lifecycle of procurement with vendors and Department resources.
Responsibilites:
- Ensuring activities are managed in compliance with the legislation and policies including the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Researching and preparing strategic advice, information and reports on the commercial arrangements managed by the team to facilitate informed decision making and planning.
- Developing and overseeing the implementation and evaluation of administrative practices, systems, and procedures to optimise efficiency and support the achievement of quality outcomes of the commercial arrangements.
- As a strategic and operational point of contact, liaising with stakeholders and actioning requests at all levels from Senior Executive to administrative resources.
- Anticipating and addressing any contentious issues and provide accurate advice on complex commercial issues, often within tight timeframes.
- Providing procurement advice to various stakeholders.
- Seeking, following up and finalising financial approvals.
- Tracking and reporting costs associated with procurements.
- Facilitating knowledge and skills transfer to APS team members through mentoring, documentation, and collaboration ensuring capability uplift for the program.

Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience working in ICT Procurement.
- Demonstrated experience developing procurement documents in consultation with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience using Commonwealth Panel arrangements (and/or open/limited tender and in consideration of Indigenous Procurement Policy where appropriate) ICT procurements.
- Demonstrated understanding of good probity practices and the Commonwealth Procurement Framework, including the Resource Management Framework and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
- Demonstrated experience liaising with a diverse range of stakeholders including ICT professionals and vendors and the ability to work independently and prioritise work accordingly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex ICT procurement and commercial arrangements.
- Cert IV / Diploma in Procurement & Contracting
