About the Agency and Branch
A statutory agency established in 2024 is leading Australia’s transition to a net zero economy. Now becoming a standalone entity, it is focused on inclusive, sustainable change—driving economic transformation, reducing emissions, and supporting regions, communities, and workers to adapt and thrive.
The Corporate Branch supports the organisation’s mission by delivering key services such as HR, finance, governance, legal, ICT, and security. As a newly established entity, it is building independent systems and capabilities to manage these functions.
About the role
The Head of Corporate plays a critical leadership role in shaping the Authority’s foundations—culture, systems, and capability—to ensure long-term impact and independence. Reporting to the CEO, they oversee strategic and operational delivery of enabling functions, lead a multidisciplinary team of 30, and engage regularly with the Board and Executive on corporate strategy, governance, and compliance for an organisation of around 160 people.

- Advise the CEO, Executive, and Board on corporate system integrity, while shaping strategy to safeguard independence and impact.
- Foster collaboration and professional growth, supporting policy and system development through a dynamic period of change.
