About the Role
The Assistant Director, Governance and Corporate Reporting, oversees a broad portfolio of governance responsibilities, including support to the Audit and Risk Committee, risk management, internal audit, fraud and corruption control, conflicts of interest, and the integrity framework.
 

Duties

  • Coordinate risk reviews and reporting
  • Support internal audit activities
  • Provide secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee
  • Oversee fraud and corruption control practices
  • Manage conflict of interest policies and processes
  • Lead a small team to meet goals and build capability
  • Advise senior leaders through briefings, Ministerial input, and parliamentary responses
 
Skills & Experience
The Governance and Corporate Reporting Section seeks a collaborative Assistant Director with strong communication and organisational skills, sound judgment, and agility to lead in a changing environment, manage diverse stakeholders, and deliver accurate, effective corporate reporting and governance. Skills and knowledge required include:
  • Proven ability to lead projects by planning resources, managing timeframes, and resolving issues effectively
  • Skilled in navigating strategic shifts in a dynamic environment
  • Strong writer with a track record of producing clear, strategic documents for varied stakeholders
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and adaptability across competing priorities
  • Effective relationship builder across internal and external networks
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex information
