Job Details
The federal government is looking out for a DevOps Administrator to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 support for SDTE.
- Incident Management & Response
- Executing the change request lifecycle: registering, assessing, authorising, planning and deploying.
- Assessing risks and reducing risks to the availability, performance, security and compliance of the products and services impacted by the change.
- Planning and managing hardware and software maintenance
- automating tasks through scripting, coding, orchestration tools and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
- Ensuring infrastructure security through regular updates, patch management and adherence to cybersecurity policies and established industry practices.
- Monitoring infrastructure performance and its impact on efficiency, performance, security posture and sustainability.
- Provision, deploy and configure infrastructure services and components.
- Monitor infrastructure for load, performance and security Report metrics and resolve operational issues.
- Execute standard operational procedures, including backups and restorations.
- Carry out agreed system software maintenance.
- Automate routine system administration tasks to specifications using standard tools and basic scripting.
- Maintain and optimise technology infrastructure, executing updates and employing automation tools.
- Configure tools and/or create scripts to automate infrastructure
- Design and document system operational, change and security procedures.
- Use infrastructure management tools to monitor load, performance, and security metrics.
- Investigate and enables the resolution of operational and security-related
- Contributes to the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance and updates.
- Defence experience is highly desirable.
