An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Compliance Manager to join an online wagering organisation in Melbourne. This role sits within a high-impact Compliance team and reports to the Head of Compliance.

As the Compliance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day work of two analysts, drive the delivery of AML/CTF control improvements, and contribute to strategic reporting for senior leadership and the board. This is a unique opportunity to develop into a leadership role in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the AML/CTF team’s operational tasking and performance
  • Support project delivery aligned to AML/CTF Act updates and control enhancements
  • Oversee BAU tasks including transaction monitoring, ECDD, PEP/adverse media reviews
  • Contribute to the uplift of policy, process, technology, and data across the AML Program
  • Assist with preparation of board and executive reports
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships with key teams such as Fraud, Payments, and Responsible Gambling
About You:
  • Tertiary qualification in AML/CTF, financial crime, risk, business or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in AML/CTF compliance within wagering or a similar regulated sector
  • Proven people leadership with a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Strong knowledge of the AML/CTF Act, rules, and regulatory expectations from a wagering company, financial institution or large consultancy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
