Job Details
The Cloud Service Manager is required to work with the Systems and Platform team to support and deploy Azure based IT systems. The department is currently upgrading the three core IT systems, which will be replaced by a series of modular solutions which will be utilising services the department already has in the Azure environment.
Key Duties
- This role is a leadership role where you will work with a team of Engineers as part of the Systems and Platforms team.
- The role is responsible for undertaking very complex and/or sensitive work, under broad direction, utilising expertise across a range of activities relating to the design of software applications.
- In partnership with clients and other stakeholders, apply strategic and systems expertise to enhance and improve existing software, including designing, developing, implementing and testing software systems, in line with business requirements and software development standards.
- In collaboration with other teams in the work area, investigate and resolve complex issues with the operation of an application Ensure deadlines are consistently met and that a high standard of technical and design documentation is provided.
- Be responsible for project progress reporting and ensure compliance with governance processes.
- Lead and manage a team to ensure high quality outputs, including building team capability to maintain a high level of expertise and encouraging career development.
- Work within an agile environment using Safe.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing enterprise IT solutions consuming Azure services - including, but not limited to the following: - Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) - Serverless Compute - Azure Functions, Web Apps - Storage – BLOB and File - Integration - Service Bus and Event Hub - Identity - Azure Active Directory (AAD) and Azure B2C - API Management (APIM).
- Demonstrated experience in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines using ARM and/or Bicep templates.
- Demonstrated experience with managing and migrating solution infrastructure to the Azure platform.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and processes in context of Infrastructure management.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
