Client
Our client is the government body responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs related to health in Australia. It advises the Australian Government on these areas and works with various stakeholders to improve health outcomes for all Australians.

The Role
The Project aims to optimise data insights and reduce inefficiencies by consolidating and enhancing analytical applications and models that currently exist across multiple platforms.  The redevelopment of the applications has been identified as a priority as part of the BID Operational Model.  Additionally, the establishment of well-defined requirements and documented processes will ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Business Requirements Scoping: Engage with stakeholders to accurately capture and refine business needs, including facilitating workshops to gather detailed requirements that support the consolidation of analytical applications and the development of dashboards.
  • Process Documentation: Develop clear and comprehensive documentation of current and future-state processes to promote consistency, support training, and enable effective change management across the division.
  • Governance Establishment: Design and implement governance structures for the new analytical applications and dashboards, including processes for maintaining business rules and managing user access.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support UAT activities by preparing test scenarios, coordinating stakeholder involvement, and ensuring solutions meet business requirements prior to deployment
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively to multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience supporting IT projects using Agile or hybrid methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Shiny or Looker.
  • Experience conducting workshops, documenting business needs and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work closely with leadership to document business requirements and support project-level tasks (e.g. managing DevOps, writing Quick Reference Guides (QRGs) or Business Requirement Guides (BRGs).

Due to the nature of this role the candidate must be an Australian Citizen with a Baseline Clearance (NV1/NV2 security clearance encouraged to apply)
